What tools and services does my subscription fee include?
Your low monthly subscription includes:
- Two half-hour telephone sessions: A SiteBuilder1 expert will guide you through how to use your PowerSeller SiteBuilder1 tools to create a personalized, web storefront.
- E-commerce Tools: Your SiteBuilder1 comes with a built-in catalog, ready for you to populate with your products; a shopping cart, so your customers can shop your site at leisure; and a checkout system which allows you to accept multiple forms of payment.
- Website Building Tools: This easy-to-use environment lets you choose a website theme and add your logo with a click of a button. Then, creating webpage content is as simple as using any word processing program. Simple and streamlined, these tools were created to help you focus on marketing your products, rather than on all the technical details.
- eBay Listing Tool: This tool acts like a personal mentor to help you put together eBay auctions, from start to finish. It then publishes your auctions on eBay whenever you'd like. You can schedule your auctions to publish when you are not present-even when you're sleeping.
- eBay Research Tool: Now you'll list eBay auctions like a pro-even if you're a complete novice. Use this tool to figure out what to sell, and then use it to help you figure out how to sell better than even your top competitors. You'll get a better selling price and increase your chances of selling.
- Web Hosting: Your subscription also includes your hosting fees, for up to 500 products, with Verio. Verio is a world-wide Internet hosting company.
- Unlimited Support: This includes toll-free phone support, email support, and Live Chat directly within your PowerSeller SiteBuilder1.
Do I get a domain name with my subscription?
Yes. Each subscription comes with one free domain name or domain name transfer. So, even if you're switching from another website provider, there is no additional fee to transfer your domain to your web storefront SiteBuilder1 account.
Does my website include a shopping cart and checkout system?
Yes. Your web storefront SiteBuilder1 comes with a built-in catalog, ready for you to populate with your products; a shopping cart, so your customers can shop your site at leisure; and a checkout system which allows you to accept multiple forms of payment.
What payment options will my website accept?
Recent research shows a direct relationship between sales conversion rates and the number of payment options you offer. Our web storefront Builder is especially suited for this, and allows you to give your clients many ways to pay for their orders.
Through the web storefront Builder's simple Store Manager interface, you will be able to set up your website to accept the following payment options:
- Credit Card (you can select from multiple merchant account providers, such as ECHO and AuthorizeNet)
- PayPal
- Personal Check
- Money Order
- "Bill Me"
Will I need to apply for a merchant account?
Yes. However, our clients receive a special offer from ECHO, a merchant account provider. In the SiteBuilder1 Resource Center, there is a coupon for a free account set-up, and an application for a merchant account. I've really tried to make this as simple as possible.
You can also use PayPal merchant services to accept credit cards.
How can I personalize my website?
The web storefront Builder has a number of ways you can personalize your website.
- Choose from many pre-built themes, with a variety of colors and styles.
- Add your own company logo to every page in your website.
- Design your own navigation menu.
- Design the layout of your pages, exactly the way you want them. You can spend just a little time for simple pages, or a lot of time for more elaborate pages.
- Adding forms (such as email "contact us" forms) is simple.
- Add thumbnail (small) images of your products to any page to highlight that product. The image is linked directly to your store catalog.
- If you have a friend who specializes in website design, we even provide instructions for building and uploading your very own, custom theme.
- Use your imagination. The sky's the limit.
How will I contact customer service?
Customer service hours are 8:30 am - 6:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday. Once your account is set up you can contact customer service in three ways:
- Toll free by phone
- By email
- By live chat from inside your SiteBuilder1 Resource Center
How many products can I put in the shopping cart?
Your initial subscription fee includes up to 500 products.
Each 500 products after that will add $5 to your monthly subscription. So, if you have 501 products, add $5 to your subscription. If you have 1001 products, add $10, and so forth.
Are there any other fees or costs?
The only additional fee you will have to add to your monthly subscription is if you exceed 500 products in your store catalog. And even that cost is fairly minimal ($5 for each additional 500 products).
However, if you opt for additional services, such as a merchant account, a product sourcing service, or other third-party service, you will have to pay the third-party service providers the fees they charge.
Do you help with marketing or getting my web site found by search engines?
During one of your 30-minute sessions with a technical support representative, your representative will show you how to create the right page title and meta tags to get your website found by search engines.
The web storefront Builder is completely search-engine friendly, and our engineers are conscientious about making sure that the website Builder technology conforms to search engine guidelines.
Although attracting traffic to your website and creating a website that ranks well in the search engines is up to you, the Resource Center is packed with training materials that cover search engine optimization and Pay-Per-Click techniques.
